Bullet Journal is a method of personal organization and note-taking developed by Ryder Carroll. The Bullet Journal Method is his best-selling book that details the positive impact of having and using a bullet journal. It allows you to detail your past, present, and future in a colourful way that gets you excited to accomplish your goals. These affordable bullet journal notebooks will help you enjoy bujo.
It’s little wonder then that there’s a bullet journaling craze going on. Almost everyone who jumped into the trend has reported nothing but positive results. A bullet journal helps you keep a record of things that have happened, help tackle daily activities with a sense of calm, and jot down all the goals you’d like to one day accomplish. This is why many refer to bullet journaling as the analogue method for the digital age that will help you track the past, order the present, and design your future.
Many people believe that you require fancy writing equipment and expensive bullet journal notebooks to start a bullet journal. This is farthest from the truth. Quality bullet journal notebooks help because they are made of good material that ensures the paper won’t bleed when you make bullet journal doodles. However, if you are starting a bullet journal, you can stick to these five items below.
- A good bullet journal notebook. Many people will recommend cult-favourite Leuchtturm1917. This notebook has a table of contents section, and page numbers, which allow easy cross-references.
- A pack of durable pens for writing in the bujo notebook.
- A pack of sturdy pencils for drawing in the bullet journal notebooks.
- These striking colour markers for designing your bullet journal spreads.
- A stainless steel stencil set (say that quickly three times) for complicated bullet journal doodles.
A lovely Unni bullet journal notebook that rivals Moleskin
When you start using this bujo notebook, you will wonder why you ever bought any other expensive one.
Top Review: The paper is of good quality, the size is good, and I like the elastic band that keeps it closed. I have used the one with the dots inside more, but the blank page one is good too. I am a user experience designer, so I am mostly drawing screens and icon ideas with micron pens or pencils.
This gorgeous rounded cover bullet journal notebook
It is truly incredible that this bullet journal is below ten dollars. It is such an amazing notebook for bullet journal doodles.
Top Review: This notebook is my new favourite! I have tried them all. The paper is of high quality. I use fountain pens, so it is imperative that the paper does not bleed. The design is beautiful and quite feminine. It is very pretty and sturdy, too. Best, there are two ribbons you can use, instead of just one. Oh yes, and the pages are numbered, with a Table of Contents in the front. How clever!
This bullet journal that will fan the flames of your wanderlust
It’s gorgeous to look at. The cover will give you amazing bullet journal doodle vibes.
Top Review: I went through ordering three different journals by the same company that I ultimately returned. Then I ordered this one as a last-ditch effort at getting a journal I loved every aspect of. I am so glad I did. The cover is lush and silky. It has a pearly effect and feels luxurious. The pages are fab and the sturdiness is wonderful.
A lined bujo notebook that you will love using
For the price you pay, you will be pleasantly surprised by the great quality of this bullet journal.
Top Review: I love this journal. It is great for my journaling style. The pages are really thick and I love it because I like to use watercolour on my pages. The cover is really nice. The lines aren’t too thick. I don’t like lined journals but this one you can barely see the lines, which is great for me because I love doodling in my journals. Also, my favourite black pen doesn’t bleed through. Another good thing is that it lays flat so it’s easier to write. I love it!
An elegant dotted grid journal by Poluma
Thick pages that make sure ink doesn’t bleed when you doodle, and a strong yet soft cover. What more could a bujo lover want?
Top Review: The feel of the cover is nice and I really like the little pocket in the back! The pages are thick enough that felt tip markers don’t bleed through with normal pressure. When pages are flat, I cannot see through them so it is great for my monthly and weekly spreads. This is my 3rd attempt at a bullet journal and I will be buying this brand again. The price and quality are better than the other two I’ve tried and rivals the more expensive ones I’ve seen at office supply stores! Get this if you want the best bang for your buck!
