Russell James Vitale (Russ) is a popular American rapper who recently released his album Shake the Snow Globe. This is his third album with a major label although he’s released over a dozen full-lengths throughout the course of his career.
This album has been quite successful. It is currently top five on the Billboard 200. I was truly looking forward to the release of this album because I am a fan of Russ and his music. Also, I’ve been playing his hit track Best on Earth featuring BIA on repeat every day. This song has risen to number 62 on the Hot 100. Watch the incredible visuals below;
Apart from the amazing music, there are tons of hidden messages and life lessons in Shake the Snow Globe Russ even revealed that every song has a specified theme. See the dominant themes for each track on the album below.
Russ is an incredible rapper, singer, songwriter, producer and author. I loved all the songs on this album. Here are six life lessons I gleaned whilst listening to the tracks on Shake the Snow Globe by Russ. All the lyrics are in italics*
Work Hard:
Russ has revealed that this success did not happen overnight. Guess What lyric This ain’t somethin’ I was given, had to take it, make it mine regarding this is so important. If you feel overwhelmed, just sing to A Lot’s chorus; I got a lot more livin’, lot more winnin’ to do…
Trust The Process:
Success is a process. As Nipsey Hussle said, it is not a race its a marathon. Russ confirms this by singing this lyric I know that everything I really need will be presented in its due time in A Lot.
Don’t Burn Out:
A Lot is an amazing track with tons of lyrics you need to implement in your life. While working hard and trusting your process you need to make yourself a priority so you don’t burn out. As Russ the rapper says;
I’m in a space of serenity tryna focus on peace
I give everyone my all, it’s time I focus on me
This might make many people call you an Asshole so you need to let them know Bitch, I love me to death and I ain’t afraid to show it.
Be Grateful:
In Need a Minute , he says I used to catch trains (Yeah), now it’s planes flyin’. He understands that its so overwhelmng he needs a minute. It’s important to always be grateful. This is the dream, I need a minute.
Leave Fake People:
Stay off negative energy. Guess What with Rick Ross has a ton of lyrics that embody this.
- Clappin’ when they win, but when I win, they never clap it up
- Bitch, I’m about to block you ’cause that shit’s gon’ have me actin’ up
In Asshole, Russ reiterates this with this lyric; So this is fuck everybody energy that I’m on.
Respect Your Lover:
Love is a wonderful emotion, and Russ gives all lovers the feels in his song featuring Kiana Ledé, All To You. He also has advice if the relationship goes south. Nightime deals with couples finally speaking up about the issues in the relationship so they can move forward with their love. Regarding breakups he says;
If this doesn’t last forever
Least we spent the time we did
Helped each other through our shit
Russ truly embodies sense, sex appeal and talent. He is a singer, songwriter, author and record producer. He wrote the bestselling book titled It’s All in Your Head. You can buy this inspirational book.
