Securing her acquittal, Morestan invites her to live and work at his shop when can’t get a job. However, he decides to keep her true identity a secret, which soon begins to raise doubts within his family.
Affectionately Yours (1941)
Foreign correspondent Rickey Mayberry hurriedly flies back from Portugal to the U.S. to keep his wife from divorcing him, but he’s followed on the flight by love interest Irene Malcolm. Mayberry’s wife Sue has indeed divorced him, although she still loves him. The comedy of errors is compounded by Irene and also by Rickey’s boss, who both conspire to keep the couple apart.

Chris Emery is a nightclub singer and dancer in the British colony of Trinidad and Tobago. One night after her performance she receives news from Inspector Smythe and Anderson, a member of the American consulate, that her husband Neil has been found dead. She is comforted by Neil’s friend Max Fabian. The police learn that he was murdered and suspect Max. Chris agrees to exploit Fabian’s love for her to gather information for the police.
Salome (1953 film)
Princess Salome is the daughter of King Herod of Galilee. Cast out after her affair with Caesar’s nephew, Salome finds herself back in the kingdom of her father when she falls in love with Claudius, the commander of her father’s army. Meanwhile, Salome’s evil mother, Queen Herodias, is continually being condemned by John the Baptist, and uses Salome as a tool to get the prophet executed. Although based on the biblical story, the film does not follow the Biblical text, critically passing the blame of John the Baptist’s death wholly upon her mother.
The Story on Page One (1959)
Victor Santini is hired to defend Josephine “Jo” Morris, who is accused of conspiring with Larry Ellis to murder her husband Mike Morris, a police detective. In flashbacks, it is shown that her marriage to Morris is loveless and dull. She met Ellis a widower, with whom she finds companionship and comfort. Both are charged with attempted murder, and a large part of the film consists of the trial.
