Aragorn was a Ranger of the North, first introduced with the name Strider and later revealed to be the heir of Isildur, King of Gondor. He was a confidant of Gandalf and part of the quest to destroy the One Ring and defeat the Dark Lord Sauron. He fell in love with the immortal elf Arwen. He is one of the protagonists in The Lord of the Rings cast.

Sean Bean: Boromir in The Lord of the Rings
Boromir was the heir of Denethor II (the 26th Ruling Steward of Gondor) and the elder brother of Faramir. In the course of the story, Boromir joined the Fellowship of the Ring. He is a key member of The Lord of the Rings cast.

Dominic Monaghan: Meriadoc “Merry” Brandybuck in The Lord of the Rings
Merry is a close friend of Frodo Baggins. He and his friend Pippin are members of the Fellowship of the Ring. They become separated from the others. By the time of The Return of the King, Merry has enlisted in the army of Rohan as an esquire to King Théoden, in whose service he fights during the War of the Ring. After the war, he returns home, where he and Pippin lead the Scouring of the Shire, ridding it of Saruman’s influence. He is a key member of The Lord of the Rings cast.

Sam was Frodo’s steadfast companion and servant, portrayed as both physically strong for his size and emotionally strong, often pushing Frodo through difficult parts of the journey and at times carrying Frodo when he was too weak to go on. Ian McKellen: Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings
Gandalf is a wizard, one of the Istari order, and the leader and mentor of the Fellowship of the Ring. As a wizard and the bearer of a Ring of Power, Gandalf has great power. He sets out as Gandalf the Grey, possessing great knowledge, and travelling continually, always focused on the mission to counter the Dark Lord Sauron. As one of the Maiar he is an immortal spirit, but being in a physical body on Middle-earth, he can be killed in battle, as he is by the Balrog from Moria. He is sent back to Middle-earth to complete his mission, now as Gandalf the White and leader of the Istari. Gandalf is a key member of The Lord of the Rings cast.
Sir Ian Murray McKellen CH CBE has received numerous awards including seven Laurence Olivier Awards, a Tony Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. His career spans six decades and he has performed in genres ranging from Shakespearean and modern theatre to popular fantasy and science fiction. Saruman the White is the leader of the Istari, wizards sent to Middle-earth in human form by the godlike Valar to challenge Sauron, the main antagonist, but eventually, he desires Sauron’s power for himself and tries to take over Middle-earth by force from his base at Isengard. Saruman is corrupted by power; his desire for knowledge and order leads to his fall, and he rejects the chance of redemption when it is offered. Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee, CBE, CStJ is dead. Before his death, he achieved great status as an actor, having a career spanning nearly seven decades. Some of his major roles were as Count Dracula in Dracula, Francisco Scaramanga in the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun and Count Dooku in the Star Wars films.
Since portraying Saruman, Christopher Lee has starred in Season of the Witch, The Resident, Hugo, Dark Shadows, Night Train to Lisbon and The Girl from Nagasaki. Christopher Lee was married to Birgit Krøncke from 1961 till he died and they have a child.
The Lord of the Rings is globally recognised as one of the greatest film series of all time.
