If you’re anything like me, you have probably watched the Sucker music video by the Jonas Brothers, ten times. The song is already Number 1, on the charts and has been viewed over 52 million times on YouTube. It is set in a gorgeous castle.
This video aroused many feelings in me; from craving love and marriage to wearing twentieth-century attire. In spite of these, the greatest feeling it re-ignited in me, was my love for castles.
I’ve always loved castles. Immense edifices filled with history. To me, these giant homes that have stood the test of time, are buildings that lived. As such, here are the castles I consider the most magnificent in the world.
Castillo de Drachenburg, Königswinter, Alemania.
Schloss Drachenburg is a private villa in palace style constructed in the late 19th century. It was completed in only two years on the Drachenfels hill in Königswinter, a German town. You can visit their website to learn more about this iconic building.
Neuschwanstein Castle, Allgau, Bavaria

Balmoral Castle, Scotland
This is a large estate house in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, near the village of Crathie. It is also the summer residence of the English royal family.
