WD’s paintings have been published in many books. He gets inspiration for his murals and other artworks from comics and graphic novels. He combines all these plus societal events to create photorealistic imagery.
WD has carried out solo exhibitions and participated in group shows or graffiti/street art festivals all across the world. Many of his paintings address today’s struggles like consumerism, war, refugee welfare, poverty, class distinction and wildlife destruction. WD (Wild Drawing) was born and raised in Bali, Indonesia, and has degrees in both Fine Arts and Applied Arts. He started off as an urban artist in 2000 and from that time he spends most of his time working in the streets — his work can be found in Asia, Europe and America — although he never stopped working in his studio. WD is based in Athens, Greece.
