From Daenerys Targaryen and Arya Stark to Liz Bennett and Hermione Granger, boss babes have a place in fiction. Females in literature have mostly served aesthetic or romantic purposes. That’s why I love when I read a book and see strong and smart females. Read these fictional girl boss books with ladies that will inspire you.
Girls With Sharp Sticks by Suzanne Young
Philomena is the definition of a boss babe. In fact, all the ladies at The Girls of Innovations Academy are girl bosses. This book is a powerful read that every lady will enjoy.

This book was written in 1797, and reached classic status off the actions of one woman. There have been many fictional female leads but Elizabeth Bennett is definitely one of the greatest of all time. The traits she portrays are still useful to ladies today.
Review: I feel like there is no one who understands me like Lizzie Bennett. She is strong, smart, and knows what she wants. More importantly, her existence made me, as a young girl, feel like maybe I could grow up to be the same. I also love the fact that despite Lizzie living in a world that just wasn’t fair to women (they had to marry, they couldn’t inherit, and were often regarded as silly) she never let that stop her from speaking her mind.
